JOSHUA 1:2
New International Version (NIV) 2 “Moses my servant is dead.
God makes this statement to Joshua after Moses had been dead
for at least thirty days. It tells us at the end of the book of
Deuteronomy that the people had mourned for thirty days. Joshua
already knew that Moses was dead. So why did God say this to Joshua?
I think that God was telling him that he was the leader now.
Don't let the people put on the WWMD ( What would Moses Do ) wrist

I have to admit to you that I have been slacking lately
in my walk with God. I have meant well. I have meant to spend a little
time each day reading His word. I have meant to spend time every day
in prayer communing with the Father. I have meant to do all of those
things, but the truth is I haven’t. My prayer time has been
sporadic lately. I have spent almost no time reading His word,
although I have been reading the Left Behind books. (That

As some of you know, I have been without a job for a couple of
months again. This time there was no unemployment to fall back on.
Needless to say, things got a little bit tight. I was signed up with a
couple of temporary agencies. They sent my resume out to businesses
but I never even got an interview out of any of those. To be honest I
was getting discouraged. I was beginning to wonder what was wrong with
me that nobody would even give me an interview. Despair was sneaking

song, but this time there was one line that caught my attention. The
line was, Funny when you're dead how people start listenin. It got
me to thinking. How many times have I not listened to someone while
they are still here for me to listen to? After all listening

I lay in bed last night reading a book by Henry Blackaby called
Hearing God's Voice. As I lay there drifting off to sleep after
reading, I asked God to speak to me. I had a genuine desire to hear
God's voice and receive His direction. During the course of the
night God did speak to me, but not in the way I had expected. I had
expected to hear something about the direction God is leading me.
Instead He brought to mind someone from my past that had wronged me. I

The Oxford Dictionary defines peace as : freedom from
disturbance; quiet and tranquility. Worry is natural for the natural
man. Worry isn't natural for the spiritual man.

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by
the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6 (NIV)

The word peace is used in the NIV version of the bible 232
times. So, you think maybe God doesn't want us to worry?

he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to
pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was
already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves
because the wind was against it.
