Grocery Donations List Posted For Nicaragua Mission Trip

One of the big expenses for the Nicaragua Mission trip is providing food for the team. You can help with that expense by donating food items to be shipped with the team supplies on May 11. A list of all the groceries needed has been posted on the west wall of the family room. Please check the list, sign your name by what you select, and bring those items by Sunday, May 2.

Class Set for Baby Dedication

The final Foundation Builders class is scheduled for immediately following the morning service on Sunday, May 2. If you want to have your baby dedicated on Mother’s Day and missed the class last Sunday, you will need to attend the May 2 class. The class will be one hour in length, and a light lunch will be served. See Kim Pearman to sign up for the class or for more information.

Some Ways You Can Help Crossroads in 2010

All of us are tightening our belts and watching our pennies more than we’ve had to do in the past. The same is true here at Crossroads, and there are a few things you can do to help with our family finances. Some are very simple like watching for lights that are burning in empty classrooms and restrooms or making sure that outside doors are closed. Be aware of water running or dripping from faucets.

You can also help out by bringing necessities for our classrooms, office, kitchen and restrooms. We always can use rolls of toilet paper or paper towels, bottles of hand soap, and dish soap. Coffee cups, sugar, sweeteners, and creamer are needed every Sunday. Wipes and hand sanitizer are useful in our children’s classes as well as supplies like construction paper, markers, glue sticks, and other art supplies. Copy paper, both legal and letter size, and pens and pencils can be used in the office.

Bringing these small items that we constantly need will free up more of our tithes and offerings for the things that we can’t supply like utilities, salaries, literature, and other expenses. Thank you for your help as we all do our best to be good stewards of what God has provided.

An online blog to keep you informed about the Nicaragua Mission Team is now available. The address for the blog is http://avoicebehindyou.blogspot.com.

A Little Reminder

If you are giving cash in an envelope and you want your gift to be recorded for taxes, you must write your name and the amount of the gift on the outside of the envelope. The cash is removed before the person who does the recording sees the envelopes.

Parking Available Next Door

The owners of the Pepper Express just across the alley from our building have graciously offered their parking spaces to us for our morning worship time. Please feel free to park in that area.

Can You Hear Me Now?

If you or someone you know is having trouble hearing during the service, there is a simple remedy for the problem. You can purchase a small FM radio receiver with an earplug, tune it to 107.7, and hear the service over the radio. This broadcast can be heard in a 150 foot range of the sound booth so you have to be in the auditorium to get the signal.

This Is My Story

Remember to write your story, your own testimony of how you came to Christ and what differences He has made in your life. Send it by email to mandyanders@gmail.com.
